If you have time before your holiday open a Nationwide Flexi Account and withdraw money from that, there are numerous ATMs, and you will get a better exchange rate lev to the pound and no withdrawal fees either. You can open an account online as well.

At the moment it is 2.18 at the banks, it is worth remembering that Bulgaria has one of the highest ATM frauds in Europe, so when you use one please please make sure that everything is OK with the machine

We also have a Nationwide Flexi Account which we intend to use this year, can anyone tell us if there is a charge levied by the ATM operators to use their services.

Presently no charges for the Flex account in Bulgaria

Most educated travellers have one :D & don't have to keep asking where to change money as they know they are getting the best rate, & don't have to take a wad of cash

But sadly some people just don't like change, & keep on asking :?

Wise up :!: make hay, eventually this FREE Service may not be
