Hu Linda,
Going to Bulgaria on Saturday. Flight cost £187 from Manchester to Bourgas. Expect to be in Paco's around 7.00pm for a few beers and catch up with the locals like Bill & Charlie, Tom & Dot and all the other ex pats.

Wizz Air have just reduced the price of many of their July dates today, I just booked a flight departining on 5th July for £51.00 one way.

For those going over from northern Ireland this flight also matches up nicely with the Easyjet Belfast to Luton flight everyday :D

It looks like we will be booking a last minute hloiday as it seems to work out a lot cheaper than flights. Has anyone ever done this before?? Trying to think of a reason why I shouldn't do this and am struggling to be honest with you. Anyone any comments before I book or should I just go for it??

I think a lot people book a package holiday, I have booked a flight from Bristol 16th July for two weeks £175 which I thought was good. The package holiday with Balkan was a little for expensive. Wizz air it would of been £222.00 and that is going from Luton. Also Ryanair fly from Stanstead to Plodvic and then you would have to hire a car but for my dates it is £247. Easyjet fly to Sofia but even that for my dates were £217 and then you would have to drive or get a connecting flight to Bourgas. Balkan Holidays Exeter - Bourgas £179 and Cardiff £219 for begining of July, Once you go into school holidays (23rd July) the flights are more expensive. I am hoping next year Easyjet/Ryanair may fly direct to Bourgas.

Certainly done your research. Would really help if the cheaper airlines started flying direct.
I ended up paying £169 B and B from the local travel agents, so off we go next week. This includes transfers so realistically it has cost us £139 each which is the cheapest I have ever paid. Seems daft but its a funny old world. See anyone in Bulgaria next week.
