Sorry I don't have a link, but in fridays Sofia echo there is a piece about Ryan air flying to Plovdiv.
No routes yet.
It also mentioned Sofia, Varna and Borgas but Ryan air don't like the airport charges.

176 Miles according to Google maps or 3hrs in English money !

if you google plovdiv airport it will give all info not sure where from
but with savings you could organise large groups to share costs
