Postby pammie bowen » Mon May 03, 2010 3:57 pm

WELL GUYS THE NEW SEASON IS NEARLY UPON US, AND AS YET NO SIGN OF CHEAP FLIGHTS INTO
BOURGAS WHEN WE BOUGHT WE WERE ASSURED THE CHEAP AIRLINES WOULD BE STARTING, THAT WAS IN 2007
I CANT FATHOM WHAT THE REASON IS FOR THE LIKES OF RYAN AIR, EASY JET ETC NOT BREAKING THERE NECK
TO SET UP,AS YOU KNOW THERE IS PLENTY OF DEMAND WILL WE EVER HAVE THE LUXURY OF CHEAP TRAVEL
TO BOURGAS INSTEAD OF BEING RIPPED OFF :?

Totaly agree, a long time to wait 5 years for the low cost carriers, also the lack of press publicity regarding Bulgaria, seems very little, still able to find lots on Spain, Ibiza, Turkey even Greece etc , but naff all on Bulgaria. Much the same with the travel agents, around our area anyway. Come on Bulgaria, if you have a tourist board start pushing yourselves.

i sent an email to the bulgaria tourist board 2 years ago stating that i see various nations advertising their country on my tv but not a word from bulgaria. shame when it has so much to offer, not just a nice coast. seems they still havent grasped the concept of capitalism after all this time.

Its ridiculous isnt it - We are wanting to go out on Fri the 28th May - Ok its half term, but keep checking and there is still availability on 3 flights going from Manchester that night - yet the flights are £321 each !!!! - there is no way I am prepared to pay that - would they rather be flying empty planes or reduce the price ? Will keep checking but as it is its staying in sunny chorley for the week for us !

Thanks Kath
Can only do a week because Andrew needs to get back to his school - Its 316.50 for the week with Balkan - keeping my fingers crossed that they suddenly come down - not sure if that normally happens or not though.

If you could put up with the hassle of travelling to Luton airport, Wizzair are flying Sunday to Sunday for £170 per person. They fly at 13:50 in the afternoon and arrive in Bourgas at 19:10. Coming back they leave at 19:45 local time and arrive in Luton at 21:20. A hassle but may be worth it.
