Please advise:Final contract in the notarial form

Hi,

It has come to light after approx 2 years, due to ignarance, poor advice and communication, I haven't yet decared ownership of my apartment. It states in my contract that both sides are obliged to conclude a final contract in the notarial form provided by the law 'immediately' after payment... would anyone know whether this will affect my rights to now seek ownership of the property by signing at the notary this far gone? I plan to seek advice from a solicitor too, just thought someone else may have been in the same situation or have more info etc. seeking reassurance...would be grateful for any advice.
