RESTAURANTS

Postby Conrad » Fri Jun 26, 2009 12:52 pm

We keep seeing the question about can you recommend a restaurant.
Why dont we list them in this section rather than all over the place.
Plus review the experience

Here is a start

I would recommend
Djhannys :D not the cheapest but good experience
Bistro Billy :D Good food & service
Faraa opposite Condor :D Good food & service

The Condor restaurant had poor service,
our food was brought to table at separate at different times, while waiting for others.
Not one we will be going again

I would recommend Hotel Royal, Sunny Beach opposite Condor wicker chairs outside also Live music most evenings very good service and delicious food. Has the food improved in the complex restaurants as last year it was poor, Zorantis Hotel, Elenite very good service al a carte and Buffet style, 5 star hotel

My choices would be 1, The Funny Pub. It's towards the beach from the Kuban. 2, The Picadilly, across the road from the Meridian. 3, The Miami in St. Vlas. The most expensive maybe but worth it. 4, Far one (I think thats the name of it), Across the road from the Condor. The Condor was allright the last time we were there too.

BWFC, I do hope you are joking, why on earth would you want a chippy? You are in Bulgaria, what is wrong with eating the georgeous bulgarian food.?

This is a great idea:

My Fav:-

*Bombay Grill (Indian) is great! Sunny Beach
*Chinese in Vlas (at the square, upstairs, over where taxis situated) Doesnt look much but is good.
*Mamacitas (mexican) right next to MacDonalds - oustanding!

I had a meal in Billy Bistro when I was there a few weeks ago and the chicken was raw - maybe just a one off, but i wont be risking another visit! Best of it was, they knew and asked me if I like it that way! Let me think.....NO!

Just returned from a great week in Privilege, my choice would be the "Kotva" in St Vlas, great food, good prices, good music. good sevice, has to be my first choice. Also Miami in Vlas, and the Chapai.

Wish I'd have read this before i went out there recently as theres a few names that ive not seen before and couldve tried out but by far my two favourites are:

-DJanny - by far the best in terms of value for money in all the place ive been so far, with extensive menu and large portions and very well priced.
-The old Nill at St Vlas Marina, a little more pricey (Especially the wine!) but top quality food and service!
-Condor - can be hit and miss but hit more often than not

will try out some of the others next time!

The Rubin in Vlas is worth a visit. Good food, good service and not too expensive. It is on the main street opposite the Talk Of The Town " British Bar". :D

Indian
Had a meal in Mind Your Step Indian restaurant
Good Food & Sevice.
Also found out they will deliver within a reasonable distant.

Balera restaurant also we found to be a good place to eat. Price OK
This is the road directly opposite HFGC going towards beach on the left, below a small complex.

Agree with Conrad, Khan's Tent is definitely worth a visit - food great, entertainment superb (my 2 year old was gobsmacked!)

Another Vlas one worth a try is Balkan

No, there's no entertainment. It's on the main road off the square, down some steps. All the tables (I think) are in garden settings and the food is fantastic.
