Good morning, spent a few days last week up in the mountain region of BG, went to dospat lake and then to the border town of Zlatograd, great scenery and a real mixed bag of weather inc snow,,,,,Left burgas on weds morning headed on motorway to Pazardzhik then started our drive up the mountains where our first port of call was the lake at Batak stayed there for a light lunch and enjoyed the views and stunning views then we headed of to Dospat via a brand new road,,which was pleasant as no pot holes,,We stayed at Dospat overnite, then head off in the morning to Shiroka laka when the snow started and we then drove through heavy snow to the town of Smolyan ,,where it cleared up ,and then headed towards Zlatograd, which is a great town on the Greek border, stayed overnite and headed back through Haskovo and back home 600miles round trip..
Water park opp NFC/HFC getting some more new slides installed, hotel globus getting a welcome facelift, and a few places starting to open up/stocking up!! Sanotorium going for it as usual and heading for the 7th floor, the new hypermarket is getting there fast called (mercury), pave ments in St VLAS oneside nearly done and started on the other! Elenite has a tower crane put up on the new build and they are concreting there everyday, also several new shops getting built opp talliana. Work started on repairs to MFB swimming pool, beachbars /restaurants getting cleaned out and some works being done,,,middle of May for opening. Weather super at the moment and expected to reach early 20s today of which have a great one,,,,,,,

Good morning, the sun has been out the last few days, tuesday was a complete washout but been fine since, weather not been as good as past seasons this year but who knows!!! People still coming out for the off season for short breaks which is good, Pam & Bernie from vlas leave today and will be looking forward to seeing them in feb!! Went to Burgas last sunday and watched the triathlon (2014 balkan championship) was a great event and well organised, i believe they have been awarded the 2016 world championship event, great news for Burgas, cruise ship was in port as well, and that made the streets, bars, restaurants all busy with life!! Building work has started next to watermill in vlas (both sides), sanotorium (riu helios paradise) kept working through the summer and is looking good,,, plenty of machines arriving daily now in vlas mainly, a few bars still open for now,, will send some pics over the weekend of which have a top one!!

Good morning from a very wet and wind battered BG, weather took a turn for the worse on friday afternoon with strong winds and heavy rain ,causing floods and damage to signs, buildings etc, lasted throughout the weekend and into early hours this morning. Saturday evenings flight from Luton was diverted to Plovdiv and passengers bused down to Burgas, however passengers in Burgas awaiting the flight had been told the flight was cancelled, and to find next available flight,Wizz air managed to get many on yesterdays flight from Sofia, i drove 5 people to the capital to get that flight, driving conditions was poor on route with light rain until We reached Sofia, where you can see the amount of snow they had saturday ( the roads were clear) on the plus side the ski resorts had 25cm (10 inches in old money) of snow so looking good for them,,the drive back was even worse weather with hard driving rain, visability down to several meters, 17 states here have been on code red/orange emergency warnings, things have calmed down now!! All construction stopped and should be back today working, once the flooding has cleared,,,have a nice day.........
