As my building and contents insurance is due for renewal in June can anyone suggest a company that I could insure with for the next 12 months and also I wish to open a bank account when I go over there in June and internet banking would be a help. Any advice would me much appreciated.

Hi

We have just insured our 1 bed apt in Panorama for £170, which is 50k buildings and & 5k contents with an excess of £50.

This is with www.intasure.com and was recommended on My Bulgaria web site.

Hope this helps

Hi..... I am also needing insurance but am wondering why people are not using FN's. Is it no good?

Hi all

As far as I know FN only cover the buildings and not contents or public liability

Hi, we used FN insurance cover last year and intend to re-insure with them this year, you can choose the premium payable according to the level of cover required and I'm sure they offered public liability also, but contact your site office who should be able to provide details. As far as internet banking goes we joined with Bulbank and seems OK but there is an 18 Lev per month charge for using this service and we might look for a cheaper provider this year. Hope this helps.

I shopped around and found Intasure to be cheapest ( UK based) and they also offer £5m public liability cover versus £2m offered by competitors
