Just got back
Posted: Tue Jul 07, 2009 3:37 pmJust got back from a 17 day holiday, took in Belgrade, Sofia, Istanbul , Veliko Turnovo and Varna as well as around 8 days at Crown.
Crown is looking good - gardens all ok etc - the shop is open (Opened last week) and the restaurant is open (Now doing Mexican food!)
I thought it was fairly busy but I've not been this time of year before (Last year i went 16th-20th June and it was much busier than last year) - many Eastern Europeans than before, mainly Russians but also Latvians, Polish, Ukranians which adds a nice mix.
Sunny beach was pretty busy too
New bar on the beach down at the marina, 'La Playa' - a bit up market but a nice place to chill out, with sofas on the beach and a big cocktail menu.
Ate at the new Robinsons fish and grill - was ok but nothing to shout home about
Weather - generally ok, the usual heavy shower on the odd day but generally enough sun to get a decent tan.
Pako's - only went once but fun as always.
All in all, a great time had - look forward to the next time
