Good morning all and a very Happy Christmas from Elenite,

Well the workers are working, they all turned up this morning at 8 am. The weather has gone mild now, pools starting to melt. All is well here, woke up to find Santa had forgotten us ! may be he got lost or is still looking for the chimney ! The brandy and mince pie though dissapeared !
Had a lovely champers breakfast, salmon and scrabbled eggs. Off for walk on beach, then to Robinson's for a beer. Wish you all a very merry christmas, enjoy your day.

Good morning, Happy Boxing day, from a warm sunny Elenite,

Well to wake up to sunshine is a bonus, mild temperature too. Pools are now defrosted on Messambria, so off for a long walk on the beach. Building work still happening on both sides, had a beer with all the workers yesterday in Robinson's, they all seem happy and smiling. Had a great day yesterday, although quiet, plenty to eat and drink, warm and happy. So enjoy your day, hope there are not too many hangovers ! surprise surprise, but no hangovers in Elenite !

Good morning all,

Hope you are all well, we are well. Another quiet day yesterday, had a long walk on the beach. So building work continued all over Christmas, not a lot of workers, about 30. But today they are all back to work, it is very busy again around here. Building work between Mfb and Paradise beach, is getting bigger, they are digging right up to the gate at Mfb. We know it is going to be a luxury hotel, but still investigating the name. Will keep you posted. Have a good day all.

Good morning all,

All is well here, another mild day, and sunshine trying to get out. All building back to normal now, busy busy. Between Mfb and Paradise beach, there will be 2 seperate units. 1 hotel at the back, and another on the beach front ! Does not look big enough, but this is what the site foreman has informed us. The hotel at the back is 7 floors high and is called the Sea Eye hotel. Will inform you with any update as soon as they let us know. Have looked on the web, but nothing on there as yet.

Good morning all,
Sunshine in Elenite again this morning, very chilly. Just when we thought summer was nearly here, the pools have started to freeze again. News on the Sea eye Apart Hotel, phase one will be complete in Dec 08, it will have a night club, bars, restaurant and shops. Sean had a look at the drawings and it looks very special indeed. Still can not find any thing on the internet though ! Will keep you updated. Off for a bit of a shop today, the merlot has dissapeard, must have a hole in the bottom of the 10 litre drum ! Enjoy your day and the new photo's.

Good morning all, and a Happy New Year to you.

All is very quiet around here, no building work now for 2 days, and they do not intend to work now until the 3rd Jan. They do love New Year over here and celebrations started early. Most shops closed Saturday, Sean went shopping yesterday Mladost in Sunny beach to find a heavy population of Bulgaria shopping at the same time ! They were panic buying, trolly fulls. Sean was amazed, it was nothing like this over Christmas. So were off to Nessebar today, to stay overnight and party, make up for our quiet Christmas. Last year we stood on our beach at Messambria and watched all the fire works over Nessebar, today we want to be a part of it. So excited, did not sleep last night ! Will update when we get back tomorrow, head permitting !!!!

So all enjoy your evening, think of us at 10 pm, we will already be in the new year ! and if still concious, we will think of you all at 2 am when you will be in the new year. Enjoy and chow for now.

Happy New year to you all,

Hope you all had a great time, we had a fantastic evening down in Nessebar, it was so busy. The fire works were amazing. Dancing in the streets, everyone happy and merry. People were still partying when we got up for breakfast. Had a great day yesterday too, a nice brunch at the hotel, back home for champers at Robinson's bar, they went five star while we were away !!! then back home to be invited to our neighbours on Messambria... yes we finaly got company. So had a few drinks with them, a lovely Bulgarian family from Sofia, they leave tomorrow. All in all a very good Christmas and New Year had at Messambria. Weather today wet and windy, sea crashing, ships out in the bay another rough one. Well enjoy the photos and updates. More later

Good morning all from a snowy Elenite,

Woke up this morning and to our surprise, lots of snow overnight. Very pretty indeed, but unable to get out and about. Should be clear later as the sun is out. Yesterday the weather was a bit nasty to us, lots of heavy rain and harsh winds. Sea crashing all day, thunderstorm in the evening, then woke up to snow. All weathers in one day. The beach is cluttered with wood and trees, half of a car has been washed up too !!!! Weather has calmed down alot since yesterday and the ships are leaving the bay, sun is out. Last night we popped over to see our neighbours on Messambria and had a great evening, eating and drinking and a good old giggle. They are hoping to travel back to Sofia today, but may be delayed due to snow, so may be another party evening !! more later.

Hi Di and Sean

I'm a new member to the forum, having bought a studio appartment in the Nessabar Fort Club complex which has just been completed and I look forward to meeting lots of new friends this summer!

I'm flying across to Varna early February to inspect the appartment and hopefully sign the notery, I wondered if you could recomend any Hotels either in Varna or Bourgas? i will be travelling with two other friends, one of which also has a new studio in NFC.

We thought Varna or Bourgas would be better as I believe Sunny Beach is very quiet in the Winter!

Many thanks for your help.

Chaz.

Morning Chaz,

We would think that Nessebar would be a better place for you to stay, it is closer to your apartment and it is also a bit more alive than Sunny beach. Varna and Bourgas are good, but if you have weather like today and yesterday, travel could be a proplem. Depending on how long you are here for, a good trip to the ski resorts is another option.

Hope this is of some help.

Good morning all from a still snowed in Elenite,

It is all rather cold here again today with more snow overnight. It hit minus 15 yesterday and said to be minus 18 by the weekend. We had lots of fun building a snow man yesterday, but the dear puppies jumped all over him and knocked his head off... We are still unable to get out and about, the roads are too icey. Luckily we are all stocked up, although we do not have any merlot. Terrible news ! Still no building work going on, we can only think it is the road situation and they cannot get here. Bourgas, Varna and Rousse have declared a state of emergency due to bad snow weather conditions. So we will just stay home, warm and dry. Sun is out so hopefully will clear some of the snow.

Good morning all from a frosty Elenite,
All is well here, sun is shining. Had a great day yesterday, the market was not too busy, not many stalls, but lots of bargains to be had. Went of to Bourgas for more shopping, plenty of new year sales on. Building work continues, work between Mfb and paradise, last day of digging today, starting concrete next week, weather permitting.
