Another day in Paradise

Postby Di and Sean » Wed Oct 31, 2007 4:00 pm

Hi all,

No update yesterday, sorry. Weather was too good, had a lovely drive out into the mountains. Found a winery, ten litres of red merlot at 22 leva....so got stuck into that when we got home.....
21 c in Byala yesterday and 21c in Bourgas today. Just come off beach which was peaceful, but back to reality with the building works next door. Going hammer and tongue now, think it will be up for xmas at this rate !! Looks a lot bigger than we thought, they have dug so deep, only time will tell.

bye for now.

Hi Di & Sean,
I'm suprised you heard any building works with your merlot being so cheap. You couldn't buy bottled water that cheap over here!! Thanks for posting the updates it really is good to know what is happening in and around our complexes. The temperature looks pretty damned good too. I read somewhere that there is going to be heavy snowfalls in November so be prepared if you drive into the mountains for your wine collection.
Cheers. :D

Hi Panorama,
Dont you worry, we will get delivery in the winter of the merlot ! We have thought of that, but dare not to stock up ourselves as it would get drunk. We have a red wine monster who lives here, but we dont know who it is !! So, the latest around here, building building and building. Went off to Kosherisza today and the little village was having a street party kind of fete, bless it was so sweet, all the kids... they had candy floss, toffee apples, fairground, it was just so nice to see. Weather been good again, warm but a bit cloudy.
All the security and cleaning staff are out everyday, even though we are the only ones on our complex, god love em, they always have a smile and the complex's are spotless. So off now to drink some merlot, as busy day at the office tomorrow. PS they have Christmas decorations already in the shops for sale..

Take care all and hear soon.

More Building

Postby Di and Sean » Sun Nov 04, 2007 12:24 pm

Good morning all, hope all well, we are good and off for a stroll on the beach. Do another photo shoot and have a beer at Robinson's. Sunday lazy day, then home for a roast dinner.... yumm

Anyhow we woke up to find building site getting set up on the other side of Messambria, between Paradise beach and Messambria. We will investigate this afternoon and update later.

Weather has been good, but forecast for next week going to minus 2 at night..boo hoo. Have to make sure that we get anti freeeze in car etc. But sure it will get colder. Not had to put any heating on as yet.

So have a good day and update later.

Hi Bridget,
Happy to send what we have, will keep them coming. We have more today from the other side of messambria, next to paradise beach, they started there this morning. Another apartment block, but back into the road, not on the beach, hopefully will not disturb our view. Will keep you updated.

hi all ,weather starting to get cold, expected to last for a few days, but were all snuggled up and keeping warm. Heating on for the first time.
We have heard that it is an apartment block (surprise) going in between Messambria and Paradise Beach. But being built further back by the road, not on the beach. Drove by Nessebar fort club today, they are planting trees and doing the gardens now. Impressive.
I have put a few photo's on our web site of the building works, until I can get download to this site.

Chow for now

Good evening all,
Well we had a bit of a stroll today, along the beach to Panorama, then cross the road to Crown Fort. Walked out of Messambria, big coats woolley hats, boots and gloves, 1 c. By the time we got up there, it was roasting, stripping off.. 12 c. So you really cannot predict the weather. Had a lovely day, Crown Fort very nice, first time we have been up there. Some lovely view, worth the walk. Weather getting warmer now, not so cold tonight, so you dont have to worry about us freezing !! Merlot though going down a treat...Must get some in for the weekend. Hope you have all enjoyed the pictures on the web, I will get my photographer up early again tomorrow for more shots.
Take care until tomorrow chow for now.

Hi all,
Well finally back on line, we have had no power for over 24 hours now, and have really missed updating you all. Sean is away now taking photo's so tomorrow Lillian, we should have a view from your apt to show. So now we have power all is well. Had to cook by candle light last night. Great fun, put some tea lights in the oven, then our clay pots filled with food on top and had a piping hot meal. The weather yesterday was bad too, it was very windy and rained heavy all day. But it is still part of the fun. Today a different day altogether, power, sunshine and a roast dinner on the go. Been round and about today looking at land and houses. Some lovely places out there. Snow on the mountains today, it was not there yesterday ! Really chilly now at night. So thats all for now, new pictures being posted Monday morning, to cheer up the Monday blues.
Enjoy and chow for now.
Wendy, as far as new building next to Marina View, nothing has started and does not look like it will just yet. Further on they have started building but not directly next to Marina view.

Good morning all,
Another crisp sunny day in Paradise ! as you will see the sun shining on the new photo's. Robinson's bar has been extended on to the beach front, be great in the summmer. They are hoping to stay as long as they can.
Were off out and about today, weather forecast snow from Wednesday, so will have to do some stocking up. My shipment of merlot got in just in time. ! We find the weather on www.bbc.co.uk has been most accurate. But the snow report for this week came from Sofia news. So all is well here, another busy day ahead. More later.
Enjoy and chow for now.
