Hi ,weather reasonable last week up until friday evening, then the rain started again and continued through out saturday with the temps dropping as well! I went up to Sofia for the night and once there all you could see was snow approx 30cm ( 1 foot in old money) and snowed all the time i was there, left early yesterday ( sunday) morning, the ploughs and gritters had/were out and although the roads looked bad they were ok at a steady speed roads cleared at Plovdiv, not much snow from there on, due to the rain and the freezing temps the motorway at Karnobat was thick black ice and strong winds, several vechiles ended up being swept off the road!! Here in Burgas/sb/vlas lots of flooding!! Plenty of big dingies in the bay about 10, winds strong all night and woke to a dusting of snow! Work continued next to PFB last week with mainly bricklaying, other than that not much else, have a nice week,,,,

Jack sparrows is having a bit of a makeover at present, building work continues next to PFB( on a small scale), they have started messing around on the hill at the back ( where they dug out last year),Admiral in Vlas coming on well, a couple of shops in vlas getting a lick of paint, Janet at Nessebar have extended their car park, other than that nothing!! still very quiet down/up here! Have a nice week,,,,,,

Morning, great season had by all this year, with tourism figures showing a vast improvement on previous years/seasons. Weather at the moment 28c and sunny, so begs belief why the season shuts so early???? i dont know of many other holiday resorts globably that would close with weather such as this?? Machines have moved in here in Elenite and the old Fish restaurant/Hotel on the beach front has been demolished already,,Have a nice weekend......

Hi Sean, Welcome back, most people are saying that Bulgaria should lengthen the holiday season. Flights stop going there from the North in October and don't start till end of May. Hope you are keeping well haven't seen much of you lately I guess on our complex possibly not as much work to do now. Weather back home is quite nice at the moment but cold at nights looking forward to next year. take care.

Hi Sean, glad to see you posting again.
Which fish restaurant do you mean, the one next to the supermarket?
We would have come out in October for a week even though it'll be quiet but alas no flights :(

Hello Sean, yes, its crazy to close so early. So many people without school age children want to go on holiday in September. When half term comes in October those with kids at school are looking to take a holiday again.

When we first started going to our apartment we have been as early as 19th May but not now. Last year a lot of places in the centre of Vlas were still closed on 1st June.

Hi, weather over the weekend superb to say the least, yes agree Chez and Ginger the season should be longer start of April-To the end of October which the weather over last few years has become milder, people are not going to be buying properties for 4 months a season!!! J&k not sure where abouts you are? but the fish restaurant that im talking about is opposite the Pier here in Elenite ( paradise beach) Barry its going to be a restaurant again with accommadation above, they have also cleared some tree,s on the side of that so something maybe going there!! Paradise Beach Hotel has been sold and will be turned into a 5* Hotel and beach resort within 2 years so i have been told, ( mind you i was told 14 years ago that cheap flights were on the horizon for BG and property prices would double if not treble) so seeing is believing,,
Have a nice day,,,

Hi all, great weather again apart from heavy rain tuesday night, but other than that great with temps to match, builders have returned to complex next to PFB, not many!! Also next to grand resort in between them and coral beach workers have returned there, re-bar going down at old fish restaurant here in Elenite and probably pouring concrete over the weekend, Paradise beach tower crane gone up there and they are taking out old windows etc at the moment, machines on the beach banking the sand outside talliana, other sites in St Vlas have all started back, nothing happening in sunny beach apart from places closing up, have a nice weekend,,,,
