This is why I don't book a flight until a week before I want to go, there is a chance the cost will be down to around £160.

Aer Lingus fly direct to Bourgas from Dublin in May for around 140 euro. If you get a cheap Ryanair flight to Dublin you might save money. Bit of a round trip, but worth thinking about. Best book early with Aer Lingus because the flights fill quick and the prices only go up as you get closer to the date of the flight.

True it is a bit of a round trip, Dublin to Bourgas is 3hr 40min. Not sure what Bristol to Dublin is, I'd guess 40mins. So that's only 4hr 20 mins in the air. Depending on the time between flights it might be worth it to save you £100 per person travelling and more money for you to spend in Pacos :D :D

I'll check out Manchester to Sofia with Easyjet. The last time I checked it was £115 return. An internal flight from Sofia to Bourgas is about £28. This is another option.

Flights with Aer Lingus are approx €140 inc tax only up till mid May,after that Dublin-Bourgas are working out at €200 plus,so if you didn't mind going early May,it might work out more economical, but then you have to factor in times between connecting flights, the hassle, weather in SB at that time and i believe the season isn't properly up and running at this stage, in that a lot of places do not open until the end of May,good luck with your flight hunting :)

Hi Linda,
I usually go the 2nd or 3rd week in May. In the past I have paid around £160 return from Manchester. I wait until about a week before and find out what is available.
Thinking about being there for all August. Not sure if my liver could handle it.

Hi Barry,

Sounds like the Manchester option is your best bet,and as for the liver, make the most of the Bulgarian beers as its a long winter back home for it to fully recover   Lynda
